Sapphire Technology is today finally taking the covers off its ATOMIC Edition Radeon HD 4870 X2 graphics card and boy, does it pack a punch!

Sapphire out with fastest graphics card - for now

Not only is it currently the fastest graphics card on the planet (at least until NVIDIA out the GeForce GTX 295 at CES next month), but also combines all that graphics processing power in a single slot solution thanks to its nifty closed loop water cooled cooling solution.

As far as clock speeds go, both GPUs come clocked at 800MHz and the 2 x 1GB of GDDR-5 memory comes clocked at a huge 2000MHz DDR. You also get all the good stuff like HDMI output, ATI Avivo and more. The packaging is pretty stunning coming packed in a solid case with not one but two Sapphire 2GB pen drives and a fully version copy of 3DMark Vantage - of course you are going to want to benchmark this beast as soon as you have it installed.

Sapphire has setup a special promo site for the new Atomic and you can visit that page here. You can also view more details over here at the press release.

UPDATE - Due to NDA mix up, our review will be online in the next day or two!
