ASUS ROG shows how its next-gen OLED ultrawide comes with a gaming monitor's best friend

ASUS has showcased a large number of new products at Computex 2026, and one that caught my eye while exploring the ASUS booth was a 34-inch 280Hz RGB Tandem QD-OLED ultrawide, which comes with a friend for the display.

That friend is, of course, another display. More specifically, the ROG Strix XG34WCDMS is a Tandem QD-OLED gaming monitor measuring 34 inches at a resolution of 3440 x 1440p, a 280Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03ms (GTG) response time. ASUS informed me during the booth tour that the XG34WCDMS features the RGB Stripe Pixel arrangement, which is designed to reduce text and color fringing - a common problem on previous-generation OLED displays.

As for the friend. ASUS has paired the XG34WCDMS with the ROG Strix XG129C, a small 24:9 secondary IPS display. display that rocks a 1920 x 720 resolution across its 12.3-inch size. ASUS ROG intentionally designed the display with this aspect ratio to reduce the black bars at the top and bottom and increase the viewing area for users. Furthermore, the XG129C features 10-point touch control, allowing users to quickly access important device metrics, such as CPU temperature, GPU load, and hotkeys.
