Kingdom Hearts IV is the next mainline game in Square Enix and Disney's long-running action RPG, which is pegged to follow Sora after the events of Kingdom Hearts III.
Reports indicate the new game will launch a new saga called the Lost Master Arc, marking a transition away from the Xehanort/Dark Seeker storyline. While still retaining the most iconic Kingdom Hearts characters, Kingdom Hearts IV is reportedly set in Quadratum, a realistic Tokyo-like city with more grounded visuals than the whimsical, fantastical world seen in typical Disney content. Additionally, Sora's design has changed, appearing more realistic to fit this world.
Kingdom Hearts IV was recently announced for the Nintendo Switch 2, which means it's coming to all platforms, including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam. However, the release date has yet to be revealed by Square Enix or Disney, but according to one Australian retailer, it may be sometime next year.
In a listing for the Kingdom Hearts Collection, the Australian retailer wrote, "Play through the full KINGDOM HEARTS series in one comprehensive package before the release of KINGDOM HEARTS IV in 2027".

The X user who shared the information also noted that the Kingdom Hearts franchise turns 25 in 2027, which could give Square Enix more reason to push the release of of the title sometime during the year. Notably, nothing official has been said about a release date for Kingdom Hearts IV, and until then we will have to treat this as a rumor, especially since I attempted hunting down the listing containing this information and was unable to find it, possibly due to the retailer updating the listing.
