Creative Assembly and SEGA reveal new details on Alien Isolation 2, including screenshots and brief atmospheric footage.

Alien Isolation 2 made a presence at this year's Summer Game Fest, showcasing new eerie footage and setting the stage for another entry in the industry's most terrifying game of cat and mouse. The footage shows the game's protagonist investigating a crash landing, and eventually shows what looks to be our hero(ine) meeting their demise in a xenomorph kill animation.
SEGA has confirmed that Amanda Ripley will not star in Alien Isolation 2, and the sequel will instead feature a "brand new setting, story and protagonist" set in a "new adventure with the same deadly tension" that thrilled players in the first game.
Sequel creative director Alistair Hope says that one of the main goals for Alien Isolation 2 was creating a next-gen hunter-prey experience. This includes revamping the alien's senses to make it more lethal and deadly, but also giving players more opportunities to use the environment to their advantage in new and interesting ways.

No release date has been announced for Alien Isolation 2, but it'll be coming to consoles and PC, including the Nintendo Switch 2.
The devs also posted this cryptic message, likely a relay from the Weyland-Yutani Corp, aka The Company: "Your mistake. It was expensive. That's something the company rarely forgives. This is your last chance. Do you understand?"
When a survey team on a remote colony-planet discovers a mysterious crashed vessel, one member makes it her priority to investigate. No one is prepared for the horror unwittingly unleashed on the settlement. Nowhere is safe.
So begins a desperate journey to survive and escape, as she is relentlessly hunted by the deadly creature.
